The Data Driven Policing Team, led by Mark Bridge, has consistently led the Department in the sharing and visualization of data.

Their efforts around designing and launching a public Bias Crime dashboard helped to ensure that concerns from the City Council and the City Auditor were addressed before they even formally presented them.

The team has continued to improve the internal SeaStat dashboard, including going from precinct to precinct to ensure all ranks are familiar with how to use the tool and to ensure they received feedback from those on the front lines about what was most useful.

Most impressively, the team produced all of these tools with a new tool - Tableau - that they taught themselves how to use. The Data Driven policing team, along with the team supporting the DAP, are now seen in the City as the subject matter experts on the best practices of using Tableau.
