Officer Andrew Bass

Officer Andrew Bass’ work performance demonstrates a commitment to the community, the Seattle Police Department, and his fellow officers.

Officer Bass is a certified patrol bike maintenance technician who uses his skills to manage demands from all patrol watches to keep bikes operational. Through his expert management of the Southwest Precinct Bike Unit’s equipment, the highly visible bike squad is able to curtail criminal activity on Alki Beach and in other public parks.

In March of this year, Officer Bass responded to a call for a vehicle prowl. After contact with the subject, Officer Bass ran the vehicle’s license plate and located the registered owner. He contacted the owner, who said he did not know the subject. The subject was arrested without incident and booked into King County Jail for theft and car prowl.

The distinctive accomplishments of Officer Andrew Bass are a credit to the Seattle Police Department.
