Officer Eric Kilcup and Officer Joshua Velliquette

Officers Eric Kilcup and Joshua Velliquette are dedicated officers who work very hard to make the area of University Way more livable. They have made several arrests that have resulted in commendations from Sergeants, Lieutenants, City Attorneys, and fellow officers. They have also taken on the role of Fraternity Liaison Officers for the U-District Greek System. They respond to the chapter houses and discuss several topics with the chapter members, including: safety around the U-District, chapter house security, robbery prevention, alcohol/sexual assault prevention, and information on noise ordinances.

Officers Kilcup and Velliquette are ambassadors for the Department. They never look for recognition but they diligently work every day to make their patrol area a better, safer environment for everyone. They have a high standard for their work, assist when requested, seek out additional solutions to problems they see occurring, and always have a positive attitude. These impressive attributes suggest that they are more than deserving of an Excellence Award.
