Bonnie Towne

Bonnie Towne is a philanthropist and community activist in the greater Seattle/Eastside area. She presently divides her time between chairing a Board and a committee at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and serving on the Boards of the 5th Avenue Theatre, PACE Board, and the Seattle Humane Society. Recently, Towne helped the Queen of Bhutan raise money for a textile museum. After moving from Portland, Oregon to Seattle in 1982, Towne became involved with cystic fibrosis, domestic violence and animal organizations. She has served on more than 30 non-profit Boards and chaired numerous events. She and her husband, Jim, are known for being the first million dollar matching donor at the Fred Hutchinson Gala and for taking that event from one million dollars annually to over 8 million dollars.

The Townes have received numerous awards and recognition for their generous gifts of time and financial support. She divides her family time between her husband Jim, two children, Staci and Cameron, and her three dogs.
