2018 Blue Tie Ball

The First Annual Blue Tie Ball will be held on Saturday, September 22nd at the King Street Ballroom and PerchGreg Steinhauer will be serving as chairman for the night.  Officer (ret.) Mike McClaughry of Mount Vernon Police Department is the evening's guest of honor.

Evening festivities will begin with cocktails and hor d'oeuvres served while guests get the chance to interact with members of Seattle Police Department.  Everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to be immersed in engaging activities and hands-on exhibits featuring SPD specialty units including:

  • SWAT
  • Arson/Bomb
  • SeaPAL
  • Beds for Kids
  • K9
  • Victim Support Team 
  • Detective Cookie's Chess Club
  • EMT

Following dinner, guests will be able to purchase unique live auction items that will give them exclusive access to SPD including:

  • A Ridealong with the SPD Bike Unit
  • Paintball with the SWAT Team
  • Evening Excursion with Harbor Patrol

Funds raised from the auction go directly to the Seattle Police Foundation.  In addition to funding police programs, the Foundation provides grants to improve employee development and assist in providing the latest in equipment and technology to ensure officer safety.  You can preview our live auction catalog here.
